I contributed to the research, illustration, and production of over 400+ new Our goal was to create a library of minimal, inclusive icons with that could provide information quickly and easily at a glance.

 

The icons are available for use across all CVS Health brands including CVS Pharmacy, Aetna, and MinuteClinic.

A cohesive library with over 400+ new icons.

 

The icons are consumer-facing across all CVS Health brands including CVS Pharmacy, Aetna, and MinuteClinic.

Process

Iconography is an essential to a design system and the overall brand experience, so visual consistency across the icon set was key.

 

All icons were created on a 24x24px grid with defined keyline guides, line weight and design style. This consistency strengthens the CVS Health brand and makes our iconography easy to understand.

Researching, sketching, and iterating helped us redesign exisiting icons simplify and modernize existing icons and develop 

PROCESS

THE DESIGN SYSTEM

Using a newly defined 24x24 pixel grid, line weight, design style, and keyline guides across the entire icons set. This visual consistency strengthens the CVS Health design system and creates a better brand experience for customers and colleagues.

RESEARCH

Redesign existing icons to fit within the new design system, update icons by modernizing the technology represented, develop a more gender-inclusive set of icons when representing people, create new icons 

Sketching and iterating helped us to simplify details in order to provide information quickly and easily at a glance.
